Tom Stuart

 TOM STUART (Librettist/Composer & Lyricist of Star of the Heartland) is the author of the '80s pop musical Kids in America, a mix-tape musical developed with director and friend Nick Demos, premiered at the Triad Theatre in NYC in 2002 and went on to be produced regionally as I Want My '80s Musical.  He was accepted into the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop in 2006 where he created the original short musical The Sasquatch Of Prospect Park with composer Ben Green. Tom wrote the book for the prog-rock musical Rainbow Around the Sun, which premiered at the New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2009.  An evening of songs by Tom and composer Stuart McMeans was presented in January 2011 at The Laurie Beechman Theatre and that same month several of Tom’s songs were included in Songs of Spirit, a concert of songs by musical theatre writers at Joe’s Pub.
