Jonathan Beck Reed

 JONATHAN BECK REED (Guest Director) is an internationally recognized, award-winning Equity Actor, Director, Designer, Arts Educator, and Founding Member of Oklahoma City Repertory Theater. On Stage and in Film, he has starred opposite such Emmy and Tony Award Winners and celebrities as Don Knotts, Chris Kattan, G.W. Bailey, Rip Taylor, Megan Mullally, Charlotte d'Amboise, Kristin Chenoweth, Kelli O'Hara, Wil Chase, and Norbert Leo Butz.

Reed's long and impressive list of theater credits includes: Hysterium, Broadway revival of FORUM; Julian Marsh, Broadway Third Nat'l of 42ND STREET; Harold Hill, 30th anniversary revival of THE MUSIC MAN; and Noble, Off-Broadway revival of LITTLE ME working closely with the show's legendary composer, Cy Coleman. Reed created the role of Texas in the Off-Broadway premier of Jones and Schmidt's western romp, ROADSIDE (CD o nJay Records). Among roles for which Jonathan won critical praise are Fagin, OLIVER! (Lyric Stage/Dallas); Henry Higgins, MY FAIR LADY (B'Way Intl. Revival Tour); Tevye, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (Lyric Theatre OKC); Bill, ME AND MY GIRL (Pittsburgh Playhouse); Scrooge, A CHRISTMAS CAROL (Lyric Theatre OKC); Will, THE WILL ROGERS FOLLIES (Lyric Theatre OKC); Captain Hook, PETER PAN (Intl. Tour); and 10 roles originated in GREATER TUNA legend Jaston Williams in 3 of the 4 TUNA shows to name a few. In 2012, Mr. Williams officially retired from performing in the TUNA series, publicly endorsing Mr. Reed as his heir apparent.
