Brent Carver

BRENT CARVER (Master Class Teacher) is best known for creating the role of Molina in Kiss of the Spider Woman (Toronto, New York, London) for which he won a Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, Dora Mavor Moore Award and an Oliver Award nomination.  He originated the role of Leo Frank in Parade on Broadway, receiving a Drama Desk Award and a Tony Nomination.  Off-Broadway, he originated the role of The Narrator in the Ricky Ian Gordon/Richard Nelson musical My Life With Albertine.   He also appeared in the world premiere of Neil Bartram and Brian Hill’s The Story of My Life at Can STAGE, Timothy Findley's Elizabeth Rex at the Stratford Festival, and originated the role of Gandalf in the Toronto run of The Lord of the Rings.  Brent has received Gemini Awards for his film performances in "Young At Heart", "One Night Stand", "Crossbar", "Due South", and "Street Legal: Last Rites."
